What I Like Wednesday: More iPhone Apps

Previously I had shared some of my favorite iPhone apps.  My original iPhone had to be retired two months ago after a slow death. But I inherited my brother’s old iPhone 3GS, so I now have some more apps available to me.  Plus I also had to adjust to a faster moving phone with the ability to run the latest software, which was quite a jolt to my system.  So here are a few more apps I am enjoying these days:

1. ESV Study+

This is by far my favorite Bible app out there.  Since I read the ESV in paper form, that is is my chosen translation for the iPhone as well.  But having study notes available is an extra plus.  In addition, I like how this has you reading down the screen, instead of flipping pages.  Just a weird preference of mine.

2. Instagram

This is an app I started using last season, but with all my social media, I only used it for a short time.  But I brought it out once again now that I am done with Facebook and Twitter.  I enjoy being able to update with a picture and add neat filters.  And I have managed to keep my contacts limited, so I am enjoying some of the interactions with friends I missed on Facebook in a lower key setting.

3. Diptic

This was a neat app I discovered to combine pictures in layouts  on your iPhone.  You can then upload the picture to other social media sites or simply just save it to your iPhone (a feature I really like).

4. WhatsApp

This was one my friend Eddie told me about as an alternative to text messaging.  I know there are a ton out there (and lots of free ones, this one isn’t free), but I like this one because you can share photos and it also doesn’t allow people to contact you unless they have your contact information.

5. LetsTans

Abby has iPad activities at her school back home and one of the games she played was LetsTans.  It is a great game for all ages and challenging for spacial recognition.  Joe and I play it as well as Abby and Elijah.

Happy Wednesday to everyone,
